Osmium.
Head.
Violent headache above and under the eyes, one-sided, extending to the
ears ; worst below the eyebrows ; the eye waters.
Falling off of the hair.
Eyes.
Weakness of sight.
The flame of the candle looks larger and less distinct.
[5] Burning of the eyes and
lachrymation.
Ears.
Tingling and pain in the (right) ear.
Nose.
Sneezing and fluent coryza, with tickling in the larynx, with difficult
respiration.
Discharge from the posterior nares of loose mucus.
Stomach and Abdomen.
Chronic vomiting, with pressure in the stomach.
Urinary Organs.
[10] Diminution or suppression of the
urinary secretions.
Sexual Organs.
Men. Violent pain on the point of the
penis and prepuce.
Erections every night, after midnight or towards morning.
Discharge of semen larger and continues longer than usual.
Respiratory Organs.
Tickling in the larynx.
[15] Mucous secretion increased ;
mucus hangs in the larynx like a string, causing hawking and coughing
with straining to vomit ; easily.
Dryness of the throat when coughing.
Spasmodic coughs in attacks (with twitching of the fingers, dryness of
the throat and crying).
Cough with sneezing.
Cannot expectorate what has been coughed up ; has to swallow it
again.
[20] Chronic dyspnœa. (Heaves in
horses).
Sensation of soreness of, the sternum ; it is painful to the touch.
Extremities.
Upper. Perspiration in the axillæ
smelling-like garlic.
Lower. Rash on the thighs and on the
ankle.
The lower legs and feet feel too full, with restlessness in the legs
till he lies down.
