Dr. Melisa Robichaud, Media Contact and member of the Scientific Advisory Commitee

Dr. Melisa Robichaud received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Concordia University in Montreal. She is a psychologist at the Vancouver CBT Centre (www.vancouvercbt.ca), and holds adjunct faculty positions in the departments of Psychiatry and Psychology at the University of British Columbia, as well as the Psychology Department of Simon Fraser University. She previously worked as a psychologist in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic of UBC Hospital.

Dr. Robichaud specializes in the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, with a particular emphasis on generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). She has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters, as well as co-authoring the book “Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment for Generalized Anxiety Disorder: From Science to Practice”.

Dr. Robichaud is the former director of programs for AnxietyBC, where she coordinated the adult anxiety self-help section of the AnxietyBC website, in addition to the AnxietyBC self-help DVDs “Separation Anxiety: A Parent’s Guide” and “Effectively Managing Panic Disorder”.

Dr. Robichaud is currently a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for AnxietyBC, and regularly provides workshops, community talks, and radio/news interviews on recognizing and managing anxiety disorders in both children and adults.
