ORCHITIS.
Q. : What symptoms would call for Clematis ?
A. :
In orchitis,
when it is of gonorrhoeal origin, and when the testicle is indurated and
hard as a stone and very painful.Q. : Compare it with Rhododendron.
A. :
In Rhododendron
the testicle tends
to atrophy ; there is crushed feeling in the gland, and it is more useful
in cases ; both drugs have pains which course up the spermatic cord.Q. : What are the principal affections about the male sexual organs
calling for Pulsatilla ?A. :
Orchitis and
epididymitis, where the testicle is retracted, enlarged, sensitive and
dark red, with pains along the spermatic cord, especially when due to
suppression of a gonorrhoeal discharge.Q. : Mention four drugs that should be compared with Pulsatilla in
swelled testicles.A. :
Rhododendron,
Clematis, Iodine and
Spongia.
Q. : What are the symptoms of Rhododendron in orchitis ?
A. :
Hard, indurated
testicle, with tendency to atrophy and a sensation as if it were crushed ;
drawing in spermatic cord, extending to abdomen and thigh.Q. : Give the indications for Spongia in orchitis.
A. :
Where there is
hardness and squeezing pains in the testicles and cord, worse from any
motion ; great enlargement of the testicles.Q. : Mention a remedy useful in chronic orchitis.
A. :
Aurum.
Q. : What remedy is indicated in swelled testicles by the exquisite
soreness of the parts.A. :

OVARIAN DISEASES.
Q. : What are the symptoms indicating Apis in ovarian troubles ?
A. :
It affects
especially the right ovary.Ovaritis with soreness in the inguinal region, with burning and
stinging and tumefaction.Ovarian cysts in their incipiency ; numbness down the thigh ; tightness
across the chest or a reflex cough accompany.Q. : What are indications for Belladonna in ovaritis ?
A. :
Acute ovaritis,
especially if the peritoneum be involved, with clutching, throbbing pains.If on the right side, the drug will be more indicated.
Great sensitiveness, the slightest jar unbearable.
Q. : What are the ovarian symptoms of Graphites ?
A. :
Swelling and
induration of left ovary.Q. : Give indications for Lachesis in ovarian troubles.
A. :
Pain in the
left ovary relieved by a discharge from the uterus ; can bear nothing
heavy on this region.Q. : Give the ovarian symptoms for Platina.
A. :
The ovaries are
sensitive and have burning pains in them.Q. : Give symptoms of Argentum metallicum.
A. :
Affects left
ovary, causing bruised pain and sensation as if ovary were growing large.Q. : Give ovarian symptoms of Arsenicum ?
A. :
Affects more
right ovary ; there is burning, tensive pain in the ovaries, but there
must be evidences of ovaritis present ; hot applications relieve.Q. : When is Palladium indicated ?
